Dr. Komaki lost her friend due to the radiation of atomic bomb in Hiroshima. Few decades after, she became a doctor and introduced proton therapy to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas for a safer treatment of cancer. She built a crane in the treatment center, which is a prayer of health and peace.
