As a result of the Japan-North Korea government-level consultations held in May 2014, North Korea promised to conduct a comprehensive and full-scale investigation into all Japanese abductees and missing people who cannot be ruled out as abduction victims. North Korea is required to conduct the survey swiftly and to convey the results of the investigation speedily and honestly to Japan. This program introduces the situation today as Japan encourages each and every citizen to maintain their interest in the abduction issue, hoping to realize the immediate return of all the abductees.
